Active Ingredients

• 1% Salicylic Acid (BHA): Salicylic acid is one of the few ingredients (amongst benzoyl peroxide and sulfur) that a skincare product must contain to be able use the word ‘acne treatment’ on its title; as stated by the FDA. This is because numerous research has been carried out on this ingredient and it does in fact work effectively against acne when formulated properly. This Beta-Hydroxy acid gently exfoliates, unclogs the pores, reduces acne/blackheads & smoothens the skin’s texture.
• Purslane Extract: Purslane Extract contains several vitamins namely A, B1, B2, C, and E. It also contains Omega-3 fatty acids, flavonoids and norepinephrine which all act to reduce skin irritation. This extract has anti-redness, anti-itching, anti-inflammatory, anti-wrinkle and an anti-allergenic agent which reduces histamine production.
• Grape Seed Oil: This is a powerful non-comedogenic emollient that exhibits regenerative and restructuring properties. It smoothens and lubricates the skin, preventing trans-epidermal water loss. It also contains polyphenols which are antioxidants that help to slow down the ageing process – preventing collagen degradation.
• N-Acetyl Glucosamine: This is a multifunctional active ingredient with skin brightening, hydrating and keratolytic properties.
